Here's a baby quilt I put together this weekend for a friend who just added a little girl to their family. Now I just need to add a little hand stitching and binding.
A 'wonky windows' quilt front I will be adding to my 'to-be-finished' pile.
Someday I may post something other than my homework. But not today.
(week 3 - recoloring)
I drew little dog, roughly based on an illustration found in a 1950's school textbook. When he was all said and done, I thought he looked rather french, thus 'le chiot'. French is not something I know, so google translate told me 'le chiot' is 'puppy'...please correct me if I'm wrong. ...ooh, he might need a beret...or a baguette!
I seem to have a tendency to take on projects that involve massive amounts of small repetitive movements. This project was no exception. This is a throw quilt for my parents who are not really 'quilt people', but are very much 'rock people'. The color scheme is in keeping with their living room.
The front is a solid kona cotton in coal, with variegated top stitching.
The back is solid kona cotton in black, with a grey stitching.
I hope to have it bound and off to it's new home very soon.
I finally completed the stenciling project that was started much too long ago. Here's the bathroom wall in it's entirety. It's very pretty, but I don't think I'll be taking on another stenciling project for a while.
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday filled with many sweet memories. As this new year begins I have resolved to learn more. To learn more about God, to learn more about myself, and to learn more about the things I enjoy doing. One of those things I enjoy doing is drawing with Illustrator, I've never really known what I was doing, I've just had fun puttering around. So in an effort to "learn more", I have enrolled in an online class (nicole's classes). I've completed the coursework for the first week, and never before have I so thoroughly enjoyed my homework!
